Support Officer

THE ROLE:
The Global Corporate Operations Branch consists of the following teams:
• Corporate Services
• Procurement
• Property
• Security and Business Continuity.

The Branch is looking to build an APS Level 3/4 Support Officer merit pool, so we have motivated, hardworking, and professional people to draw on when we have vacancies. 
We currently have a vacancy in the Security and Business Continuity Team, where you will play a critical role in the delivery of business continuity and security advice and services for Austrade's domestic and international staff.
To be successful in this role you will bring your customer service and communication skills to ensure you are providing accurate and timely advice to both internal and external stakeholders. With a high attention to detail, you will efficiently analyse and process forms, and maintain accurate data repositories.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Answering phone calls, emails and responding to employee enquiries.
• Performing basic administration and systems tasks. 
• Fostering positive relationships within (and outside) the organisation. 
• Collaborating across other branches of Austrade to achieve positive solutions and outcomes for our employees. 
• Actively following Austrade corporate policies and practices whilst maintaining accuracy of information in all business systems and databases – and always looking for ways to improve and simplify service delivery.
• Processing forms, and analysing the information provided, in an accurate and timely manner, including (but definitely not limited to) pre-employment screening packs and security clearance requests.
• Maintaining data repositories within Austrade, and submitting data via external agency systems, where required.

ELIGIBILITY:
Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative  Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
