Supervising Producer Job no: 504187 Work type: Ongoing Full Time, Ongoing Part Time Location: Brisbane Categories: Production/Content Desirable Brisbane location Flexible, part-time hours will be considered Produce news stories for the ABC Salary $98k-119k + 15.4% ABC Nominated super (pro rata if part-time) Increase the ABC's digital audience The Role We're looking for a Supervising Producer who can drive our daily video content to serve our well-established broadcast audience and the ever-growing digital demand.
This is a crucial leadership role in the Brisbane newsroom.
You should have first-class news judgement and experience handling breaking news.
It will be your job to guide our reporters to create engaging, accessible, and creative videos for broadcast and digital platforms.
You will work with our planning team to commission stories for Video On Demand for i View, You Tube, and the ABC web and app, as well as for our 7pm bulletin.
You will oversee scripting and editing to produce videos that are editorially sound and enjoyable to watch.
We want to use the power of video to connect with the diverse Queensland audience.
You will understand how to build a strong run-order and output bulletins.
About You You will have proven experience in news, video production, VOD, and social platforms.
You will also demonstrate you can: Work with reporters to create, edit, and distribute digital and broadcast video content for multiple platforms that engages and builds understanding for audiences.
Identify target audience segments for content and execute digital plans to achieve strong audience reach and engagement.
Contribute substantially to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas for digital platforms.
Monitor and analyze user data and audience metrics from digital tools to assess performance and inform future decisions around video commissioning, content creation, engagement, and audience growth.
