We are looking to expand our Strategy team in AusNet Transmission so we can provide even more insights and recommendations to the leadership team on the future of our grid and our position within the energy transition in Victoria. We value diversity and an inclusive culture.

With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Strategy & Stakeholder team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Delivering high quality insights, analysis and recommendations to inform the direction of the Transmission Line of Business, AusNet's strategy, and supporting strategic & financial planning for the business. Understanding the risks and opportunities within the Transmission Line of Business to help brainstorm the strategic projects we want to launch. Driving the development of a long-term strategic agenda for the Transmission network and the pathway to implementation. Supporting the business with strategic deep dives, simplifying complex topics, problem solving and prioritisation. Supporting execution of plans developed through the strategy process, and implement best practices to enable the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. Providing key inputs for leadership reports and decision-making forums, including papers for the Board and Executive Leadership Team. Supporting wider objectives of the Strategy & Regulation team including regulatory & landholder engagement, policy advocacy, customer strategy, or business improvement. Contributing to understanding and reacting to changes in the external environment, including economic, political, regulatory, and sustainability developments, to understand the implications for AusNet. Supporting or leading any critical portfolio-wide strategic questions and analysis as needed. Building and maintaining relationships with key strategic internal stakeholders relevant to the Transmission business. Providing tools, engagement and narrative that drives strategic clarity across for leaders and the wider organisation. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Relevant work experience in the energy sector (ideally networks). Undertaken quantitative and financial business analysis, extracting insights, particularly in areas of ambiguity. Excel and PowerPoint skills, particularly in analyses and presentations. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at an executive level. Analytical, data-driven, critical thinker; Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and communicate at an executive and Board level. Commercial acumen and an ability to understand and apply business decision tools (such as business case development, cost benefit analysis and risk analysis). Participated as an effective team member in cross-business teams, with demonstrated ability to work across business groups to facilitate and influence business outcomes. A mature professional possessing judgement, a disciplined approach, strong professional standards and, above all, a high level of personal credibility and integrity.
