This role will be advertised under the Department of Energy and Climate while the department is in a transition period.*Join the Department of Housing and Public Works (HPW) as a Strategy Implementation Manager within the Procurement Division and be a part of a dynamic workplace where every day brings new challenges and exciting opportunities. As a central business unit within the Department of Housing and Public Works, Procurement aims to shape procurement best practice across government through stronger partnership and increased capability.Reporting to the Director, Insights and Digital, the Strategy Implementation Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Queensland Government's Procurement Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Strategy. The position works as part of a team of analysts and data scientists in the Insights and Digital Unit, providing analysis at both the strategic and operational levels. The Strategy aims to ensure that Queensland Government meets its new procurement objectives. It will cover data collection, systems, governance, quality, analytics, dissemination and literacy, while ensuring privacy, security, and ethical standards in line with Queensland Government policies.As The Strategy Implementation Manager, You Will Formulate and execute an implementation plan, based on the Procurement Data, Analytics and AI Strategy, including:Leading and delivering the monitoring and reporting activities for the Strategy.Undertaking program scheduling and support project leads in managing interdependencies and informing sharing across the program of work.Developing and providing advice to the department through key documentation such as business cases, project plans, stakeholder engagement plans and project reports.Facilitating discussions with key stakeholders and project leads and ensuring any blockages to success are escalated in a timely manner.Collaborate with stakeholders across Government to gain broad adoption of data collection improvements, data sharing, and AI tools.Identify, monitor and assess risks and issues across multiple projects and recommend appropriate mitigating actions.Work with a diverse team of data science and analytics professionals, promoting a culture of innovation and agile practices.Keep abreast of data and AI trends, advocating for the adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies that align with the organisation's strategic goals.Shape policymaking by offering strategic advice informed by insights and predictive analytics by either traditional analytics or AI enhanced analytics.Proactively manage risk associated with data, analytics and AI initiatives, including bias mitigation and the development of responsible AI systems.Join our team and be part of our legacy.
