Based on Sydney's Northern Beaches Opportunity to Lead and Develop a Team 10 day Roster $80,000 + Fantastic Opportunity to work for an award winning building supplies company. This role is based in Brookvale and the successful candidate will lead the team with product management, stock ordering, stock control and promotions. You will ensure customer service excellence and focus on creating a strong team.General Responsibilities: Take lead in ordering products for the shop, collaborating on maximums and schedules with the store manager. Train staff to suggest orders and coordinate with a senior supervisor for order review and placement. Uphold ordering efficiency, minimizing frequency to prevent overstocking, acknowledging short to medium-term challenges. Develop and manage ordering schedules, ensuring optimal delivery times and even distribution across four weeks. Adjust maximum stock levels in consultation with the store manager, aligning with evolving business needs. Develop and execute impactful product and supplier promotions for customer and supplier benefits. Plan regular promotions, initially every two months, with potential for increased frequency. Collaborate with the store manager on a comprehensive marketing plan. Foster strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate effectively for mutual benefits. Collaborate with store management and accounts to establish effective stock control policies. Manage the transition from tactical administration to strategic task management for stock control. Develop and implement efficient processes for stock receipting, transfers, and returns. Technical Expertise / Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of purchasing process. Demonstrated team leadership and customer management abilities. Competent in use of MS suite highly desirable with good written and verbal communication skills. Team-player who is self-motivated and driven. This is an opportunity which will have career growth and development.
