Station Officer - (Remuneration Package $140,510) Business Unit Katherine Ongoing vacancy available As Station Officer, assist the Senior Station Officer (Track Station) in meeting the responsibilities and strategic directions of the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) by responding to fires and other emergencies in a professional and timely manner to minimise loss to life, property, and the environment.
The position has a minimum 2-year tenure as per clause 86.7 of the Enterprise Agreement. After serving 3 years, members can apply for transfer to Darwin or Alice Springs at their substantive rank, before transferring to the next available suitable position.

The Northern Territory Emergency Service is responsible for facilitating Emergency Management planning, raising public awareness of potential disasters, and providing a response capability for emergency events through dedicated volunteers, in cooperation with NT and Local Government, as well as community groups.
Members of the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) are our organisation's most important asset. The NTFRS plays a major part in ensuring the safety of all Territorians by attending a wide range of incidents such as road accidents, chemical spills, industrial accidents, structure fires, grass and bush fires, as well as investigating the cause of fire and conducting building and plan inspections and educating the public about the importance of fire prevention and fire safety.
