Sports Consultancy Internship Program
An opportunity exists to join our team as part of a course-credit internship requirement, providing hands-on experience in the sports industry and our business in consultancy, research, and insights.
The internship will involve working with our leading client, Tennis Australia, as part of one of Australia's largest sporting events, the Australian Open Tennis.
Working in either a single block or on a regular part-time basis, you'll be partnered with a Graduate Analyst or Analyst for the duration of your internship, shadowing their experience while immersing yourself in the collection, review, and analysis of real-life data.
Interns will learn to interpret data and form insights that inform commercial and business strategy shaping the Australian sports landscape.
Specifically, the Sports Consultancy internship will involve:
Use of internal apps and software to collect and store data required by analysts.
Collection and cleaning of sports match data to explain trends in audiences and brand exposure patterns, enhancing your Excel skills.
Analysis of camerawork patterns and drivers of brand exposure during sports broadcasts.
Analysis and summary of trends in Futures sports fan surveys.
Other administrative tasks requiring strong attention to detail.
Eligibility for Internships:
Before you apply, please ensure you meet the below requirements:
You are currently enrolled in an Australian tertiary course that requires you to undertake an internship/placement.
You have a strong academic record in a business degree, i.e., distinction average or above.
You are passionate about data, sport, and the business of Sport and Entertainment.
Please note: All our internship places are non-paid positions and must be undertaken as a requirement of an education or training course, in line with the Fair Work Act 2009.
