We are looking for a Specialist, Learning Projects to join Aluminum Pacific Operations (PacOps) to support the implementation of best practice learning solutions and provide SME guidance to the broader learning community. This role is essential in driving collaboration, identifying fit for purpose solutions, and effectively implementing initiatives across our seven sites to drive greater safety performance and build capability of our people.
Reporting to the Learning Excellence Manager Pacific Operations, the Specialist Learning Projects is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that pull together insights from data, systems, design and governance models. A core function of the role is to partner within the learning community team to establish processes and systems to support site-based L&D teams to deliver learning needs for today and into the future.
This role is truly an opportunity to engage and partner with a range of stakeholders and deliver tangible value for the business through leading learning initiatives to deliver against key accountabilities include:
Oversee the end-to-end program management of initiatives designed to continually progress for learning improvementsMonitor and report on project performance indicators to ensure initiatives are delivered against business targets, and provide valuable insights for continuous improvementIdentify opportunities for systems/process enhancements and partner closely with site L&D to develop and deliver fit for purpose solutions that drive standardization across sitesImplement and monitor process specific metrics to ensure quality standards are adhered to and measure the effectiveness of learning programs and initiativesProactively identify, coordinate and lead improvement in learning solutions and relevant initiatives/technology to drive standardization across sitesLeverage complex data to create reports and presentations to aid in proposing new strategies for successful learning improvementsProvide day to day support to L&D Superintendents, ensuring processes reflect the requirements of our learning governance modelsAbout YouTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleaguesAwareness of the Rio Tinto operations and knowledge of mining industry relating to its unique current and future learning needs is preferableStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and adapt communication style to various audience levels, including engaging senior leadersDemonstrated experience in delivering major business improvement programs of work (Six Sigma / Lean skills / project management)Strong proficiency in project management of multiple initiativesAbility to simplify and articulate a complex problem through multiple verbal and visual presentation techniquesNatural coaching ability to support key stakeholder groups such as L&D Superintendents, HRBPs and Operational Excellence ManagersExperience in monitoring and reporting on program performanceCurious mindset and ability to challenge pre-established conceptions held about learning and development processesQualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in Human Resources and/or LearningWhat We OfferBe recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
