The key objective of this role is to provide continual improvement at the Project level through implementation of the WHSEQ Management Systems and providing support and assistance to Project Teams. The role will involve coordination of WHSEQ reporting and compliance to company and client requirements. Maintaining current knowledge of legal and regulatory WHSEQ matters is key to the role.This role is a full-time Permanent opportunity based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Relocation cost is covered for the right candidate.Responsibilities:Promote the Safety Certainty 2.0 Program and ensure it is effectively implemented on site(s)Complete incident investigations as requiredAssist the project team in the development of SWMSs, JSEAs and Risk Assessment RegisterConduct SIFER Self Assessments and Safe Act Observations on a regular basisEnsure Toolbox meetings are held weekly and encourage workforce feedback on WHSEQ mattersAttend daily prestart meetings and provide WHSEQ input applicable to the worksAssist the Project Team in the subcontractor onboarding processesConduct Drug (indicative) and Alcohol testing as requested by the National WHS Operations ManagerAssist in the facilitation of Union and Regulator visits with regards to safety matters on sitesEnsure new/changed Company WHSEQ processes are communicated to the Project Team and workforce, and are effectively implementedEnsure project specific WHSEQ Management Plans are reviewed as required by Project TeamsAssist project teams prepare for upcoming auditsComplete any other reasonable adhoc tasks/activities requested by ManagementThe ability to work away may be required in this positionAbout you:To be successful in the role, you will need:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsCertificate IV or greater in WHSAbility to obtain ADF DCAC & Police CheckProficient computer skills in Microsoft OfficeGood time management skills and ability to work independently3 to 5 years' experience as Construction Safety Advisor (desirable)ICAM Lead Investigator Training (desirable)Willingness to work remotely for periods within the NT (desirable)Good knowledge of Asbestos Removal & Demolition (desirable)As an employer who embraces equal opportunity and diversity, we strongly encourage female, Aboriginal, and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.How to apply:If you believe this opportunity matches your experience, skills and work approach, and you are looking to join a construction company that embraces diversity and fosters its employees for long-term career progression, then send your application to ****** note, only successful applicants will be contacted.
