As RACT continues to transform and create more value for Tasmanians, we have a unique opportunity for someone to join our team in a permanent role as the Senior Training Specialist.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating all facets of learning to support the delivery of high-quality learning solutions and outcomes for frontline and back-office teams.

About the role:
Ensure best practice learning functions are applied across a distributed frontline and back office team.
Collaborate with stakeholders including project and change professionals to create fit for purpose training packages that will maximise the uptake of content and create a great experience for participants.
Support facilitation of developed training packages across frontline and back office teams.
Support the continued development, deployment and maintenance of Operations induction and upskill training programs for frontline and back office teams.
Build strong business relationships with leadership, frontline team members and other key stakeholders to elicit trust and support.
Develop, monitor, review and evaluate training outcomes and apply adjustments where required to ensure continuous improvement and best practice.
Ensure that training materials support the transition of new systems, applications and processes into business-as-usual activity so that changes are effectively implemented and embedded.
Contribute to the identification, assessment, mitigation, escalation and management controls of risk and compliance obligations in the context of training design and delivery.
Ensure understanding of RACT's workplace policies and ensure compliance to policies.
Contribute to knowledge management approach for embedment of training artefacts to support day to day referencing of content.
Successful candidates will have:
3 – 5 years of demonstrated learning and development experience within a distributed workforce.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing training strategies including identification of need, stakeholder assessment, training needs analysis and evaluation of outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity taking a pragmatic approach to translating project or change requirements into high level training plans/materials for refinement as content evolves.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodology.
Understanding of learning management systems and other technology platforms used for training delivery and administration.
Experience in creating and delivering e-learning and virtual training programs.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, time management and proficient use of the Microsoft suite of tools.
