We PLAY BIG We thrive on EMOTIONAL AGILITY We are FANATICAL ABOUT PERFORMANCE We are built on INFINITE THINKING The Opportunity: The Senior Site Buyer, Reporting to the Project Procurement Manager, is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities on-site for an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and securing materials, equipment, and services necessary for the successful execution of the project. This includes ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule. The Senior Site Buyer will work closely with the project team, contractors, vendors, and suppliers to manage the procurement process efficiently.
Day to Day, your role will include: Develop and implement procurement strategies for site-specific requirements in alignment with the overall EPC project plan.Collaborate with engineering, construction, and other departments to forecast material and equipment needs based on project timelines and milestones.Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors in line with the project's requirements, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery capability.Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.Manage the procurement budget, ensuring that all purchases are within budget limits and aligned with the project's financial goals.Implement cost-saving measures and identify opportunities for bulk purchasing, discounts, and optimized procurement strategies.Ensure timely and accurate receipting and processing of invoices to meet payment obligations and ensure effective cost tracking of budgets.Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes, and inventory records.Prepare and present regular procurement reports to the Procurement Manager or Project Manager, highlighting procurement progress, issues, and recommendations.Prepare recommendations for award for supply and commercial evaluations of materials in alignment with Delegation of Authority and project contractual requirements.About you:
We are seeking a highly experienced procurement professional with a proven track record of managing procurement for large-scale construction or engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong contract negotiation skills and extensive experience in managing supplier relationships.
