The Team These critical roles sit within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Section of the AECs Event Workforce, Workplace and Supply Chain Branch. The SCM Section provides a national coordination capability to strategically guide and support the procurement, contract management, supply, storage and distribution of election materials. The Supply Chain Section has three categories focusing on material and inventory management, logistics and freight and electoral print related services.

Stakeholder management and engagement is an essential component of these roles and as a strong communicator, you will develop nationally consistent and centrally led processes that align best practice to electoral excellence.
Senior Project Officer, Planning and Inventory The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and planning of AEC material and inventory required for event delivery. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Materials, Inventory and Systems Management, this role provides specialist end-to-end coordination of non-sensitive election materials including stationery, durable and custom materials.
In a business-as-usual period, this role will be responsible for the development of operating models, policies and procedures that support the efficient management of non-sensitive materials through the AECs supply chain.
Senior Project Officer, Ballot Paper Planning and Production The successful candidate will be responsible for the relationship management of AEC ballot paper and election print contracts. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management, this role provides specialist end-to-end coordination of ballot papers and other sensitive election materials including the certified list of electors, reference rolls and divisional finders.
In a business-as-usual period, this role will be responsible for the development of operating models, policies and procedures that support the efficient management of ballot and print materials through the AECs supply chain.
To excel you'll have:
Demonstrated multiple vendor contract management experience. Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in negotiation, with the ability to engage effectively and manage relationships with stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex and technical documents and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated research, analytical and conceptual skills to optimise business outcomes and solve complex problems. Experience in managing materials and/or print including issuing purchase orders, receipting and maintaining stock levels to ensure adequate supply while reducing wastage. Ability to prepare detailed reports for the Director Supply Chain Management to provide information of stock levels, materials suitability, trends and risks. Tertiary qualifications in project management, supply chain management, data or related business fields. Experience in undertaking procurement exercises and leading a geographically dispersed team.
