The role:
Seeking a natural leader to join Snowy Hydro as a Senior Project Manager and play a key role in the planning and governance of capital projects.
Reporting to the Manager of Capital Projects Delivery, this role will see you supporting strategic delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment of standards and implementing improvements.
You will oversee and manage a team of project managers in program/project planning and execution by sharing your expertise and being a leader for the team.
Using your highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, you will communicate with internal and external stakeholders, whilst monitoring project progress and evaluating project outcomes.
This role has the ability to be based out of the Snowy Monaro region or Canberra, with attendance to Snowy Hydro's office in Cooma as required.
We're looking for someone with:
Diploma in Project Management and/or a minimum of 7 years of experience managing large-scale, complex, high-risk, varying and/or multiple projects.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead and execute tasks.
The ability to manage and lead project performance with project managers.
Ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and external contractors.
The ability to work both alone and as part of a team.
Able to quickly and effectively adapt to changing circumstances and demands in a measured and constructive way.
Ability to read and understand work scopes and other relevant information.
Sound knowledge of WHS, Safety in Design, Environmental, Quality, and EEO policies, procedures and standards.
