Contracts Administration (Administration & Office Support) Assist the Major Infrastructure Projects team with the delivery and governance of water infrastructure projects including Paradise Dam, Burdekin Falls Dam, Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline and the Toowoomba to Warwick Pipeline on behalf of the Queensland Government.
Key Duties and Accountabilities Contribute with the development of procurement, contracts and Memorandum of Understanding for the delivery of major water infrastructure. Research, analyse, interpret, and provide advice on policy and best practice governance of Queensland government water entities. Liaise, consult, and negotiate with key State-owned water entities, other agencies, and customer stakeholders on a diverse range of issues. Represent the department at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups as required. Operate in a highly sensitive, commercially confidential environment having regard to probity, commercial and legal implications of any decisions made. Contract administration, including the preparation of written briefs seeking approval to pay claims, review of project reports, milestone assessment and following governance and financial protocols. Assist senior management with the preparation of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, correspondence, and other communications, including secretariat support for various governance bodies. Work collaboratively with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry, and non-government organisations to achieve policy outcomes and deliver on government commitments. About You There are no mandatory qualifications for the role, however relevant qualifications are highly regarded (e.g. environmental science, natural resource management, economics, policy, business).
