Senior Policy and Project Officer - Child Safety and Wellbeing (527470) Department of Health Community, Mental Health & Wellbeing CMHW - Mental Health, A&D Directorate Applications must be submitted by Wednesday 03 April, 2024 11:55 PM Award/Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 6 Employment type: Multiple FTE - F/T & P/Tpos Region: North, North West, South, Statewide Location: An exciting opportunity to join the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service to support the development of high level strategy policy The role: The purpose of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Service is to support the Department to create a child safe and trauma-informed culture, implement strategies and take action to promote child safety and wellbeing, including ensuring that the Department is child-centred, engages with children and young people, and develops systems to ensure children are safe and supported. The Senior Policy and Project Officer is expected to: Contribute to, and support, the development of high level strategy policy analysis, including providing specialist advice on strategic policy issues. Plan, coordinate and deliver a range of approved projects and strategic initiatives relating to safeguarding children and young people across the Department of Health, where appropriate, and support and assist in the delivery of CSW Service priorities. Work as a key member of the statewide child safety and wellbeing service in delivering initiatives to improve child safety and wellbeing across Tasmania. Contribute to an innovative and passionate team focused on child safety and wellbeing. Positions can be located in South, North or North-West regions. Details of Appointment Two Permanent full time, day workerposition working 76hours per fortnight,commencing as soon as possible for a period of 12 months *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
