We are looking for experienced planners to join the Strategic Planning team as Senior Planners.
These challenging and rewarding roles will undertake significantplanning projects that have been identified as a result of corestrategic planning that has been progressed together with providingleadership, support, and guidance at the City.

But enough about us, let's talk aboutyou You will be responsible for: Preparing, coordinating, and managing complex land useplanning projects and strategies identified within the Corporate Business Plan with a focus on Precinct Structure Plans for Strategic and District Activity Centres.
Have a positive impact on reshaping the City's localplanning framework as we seek to deliver outcomes identified inthe Council's strategies and plans.
Providing professional and timely advice, guidance andinformation on a variety of planning issues to a range ofstakeholders.
Ensuring the City constantly works to deliver sustainabletown planning outcomes.
Assisting in the coordination of work for the Strategic Planning team.
Provide a supervisory and mentoring role for the plannersat the City.
What you will bring to the team To be successful you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications within Urban and Regional Planning (or equivalent).
National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
Sound knowledge of the current WA Planning Framework.
Experience dealing with complex projects involving multiplestakeholders.
Ability to build good rapport with stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Ability to communicate complex information in a clear andsuccinct manner.
Conflict resolution skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to apply analytical thinking.
Sound negotiation skills.
The finer details These permanent full-time roles attract a competitive Level 7salary range of $105,124 - $111,701 (pro-rata for part-time) perannum dependent on qualifications and experience, and a wide rangeof benefits to reward your contribution.
Flexible work arrangementssuch as part time work is available if required.
