Senior Manager, Internal Audit and AssuranceFull-time PermanentDetails:Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) are seeking a motivated Senior Manager, Internal Audit and Assurance to drive a culture of best practice governance and compliance.What do we want?We are seeking an experienced individual to oversee the operation of the CIT Internal Audit team under the guidance of the Executive Branch Manager, Audit, Risk and Corporate Governance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage and navigate complex governance matters.The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with the Executive Branch Manager, other senior executives, and the Chair of the CIT Audit and Risk Committee. This role requires the ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate with key stakeholders.The Senior Manager will take a proactive approach in driving the internal audit program, ensuring the implementation of recommendations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities include leading the secretariat function for the CIT Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), preparing agendas, papers, and minutes for meetings. Collaborating with the Head of Internal Audit, the role entails preparing the annual internal audit program, supervising audit scopes, and tracking audits. The Senior Manager will monitor recommendations from audits, provide monthly status updates for ARC, and conduct annual reviews of key policies and charters.
