If you require an adjustment for the recruitment process or job, please discuss this with the contact officer.PRIMARY OBJECTIVEThe Senior Manager, Corporate Finance manages and holds accountability for all facets of Corporate Finance, including timely and effective delivery of statutory reporting and external financial audits, requests for information from the Australian Energy Regulator, reconciliation between regulated and statutory accounts, management and reporting of financial fixed assets registers, and the coordination and control of all treasury functions for the Corporation and its subsidiaries.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide effective leadership and resource management to facilitate the achievement of core business objectives, building the capability and competency of the Finance and Business Services Team with a focus on talent management and succession planning.Provide expert advice to the Chief Financial Officer regarding the financial health of the Corporation, including long-term financing and borrowing decisions, technical accounting options, regulatory allowance alignment, investment analysis, and taxation issues.Manage and be accountable for the delivery of the external audit program and external statutory reporting of financial position to key stakeholders including the Department of Treasury and Finance, Australian Taxation Office, and the Australian Energy Regulator.Ensure the Corporation's financial, taxation, and regulatory reporting requirements are provided in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and wider finance function reporting.Carry out duties in accordance with Power and Water's safety, environmental and quality policy, safety principles, corporate values, and strategies.SELECTION CRITERIAEssential:Minimum of 10 years senior accounting experience.Proven experience in managing teams in a changing and continuous improvement environment.Proven ability to think strategically and laterally, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse cultures.Experience in policy development and implementation, commercial negotiations, and project management.Proven communication skills, including liaison, negotiation, and consultation with the ability to deal with sensitive situations.Desirable:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar, with either CA or CPA membership.Experience in utilities, heavy industries, or related environments with an understanding of contemporary issues relating to the power and water industry in the Northern Territory.LAST UPDATED:
