73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 
Duties Conduct reviews under the Right to Information Act 2009 . This will include collating and reviewing documents and other evidence and, at times, high-level negotiations with senior managers and officials of public authorities. Prepare written decisions in relation to applications for external review of decisions under the Right to Information Act 2009 , and assist and advise other officers with the preparation of such decisions. Decisions are published at which also includes other information about Right to Information (RTI). Provide high quality internal and external advice, verbally and in writing, in accordance with the Ombudsman's responsibilities under the Right to Information Act 2009 . Deliver Right to Information training and educational programs. Assist in enhancing the public profile of the Office of the Ombudsman, including developing and maintaining networks and assisting in the implementation of outreach programs. Pre-employment Checks The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
The following checks are to be conducted:
• Arson and fire setting
• Violent crimes and crimes against the person
• Sex-related offences
• Drug and alcohol related offences
• Crimes involving dishonesty
• Crimes involving deception
• Making false declarations
• Malicious damage and destruction to property
• Serious traffic offences
• Crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice
• Crimes against Executive or the Legislative Power
• Crimes involving Conspiracy

A relevant tertiary qualification. Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Registration Status - Employment).
