We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team and drive people initiatives in our Brisbane office.
The Senior Human Resource Manager is a strategic and operational role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources within the organization.
This includes providing leadership on HR initiatives, managing talent acquisition, developing and implementing HR policies, supporting organizational development, and fostering a high-performance culture.
The Senior HR Manager will report to the CEO – Australia and work together to ensure HR practices are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and business objectives.
The Role:
General and Strategic HR Lead the development and execution of HR strategies that support the business's objectives and long-term goals.
Provide expert HR advice and counsel to the CEO – Australia, and managers on a variety of HR-related issues, including organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with leadership to drive cultural transformation initiatives, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.
Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution and workplace culture.
Design and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Foster positive working relationships across all levels of the organization, promoting a collaborative and respectful workplace environment.
Provide leadership and support in managing organizational change, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with business goals.
Conduct Pulse Surveys to assess organizational pulse, collate staff feedback, and recommend improvements.
Ensure HR functions are responsive to the needs of the business and support overall organizational goals.
Ensure the company's HR practices comply with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Lead investigations related to HR issues, including employee grievances, complaints, ensuring appropriate resolutions are reached.
Provide regular reports to the Board on HR metrics, including turnover, employee engagement, and performance management.
Analyse HR and industry data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and drive data-informed decision-making across the business.
Lead HR budgeting and financial reporting, ensuring HR activities are cost-effective and aligned with business priorities.
Participation and active support on any Board HR sub-committees.
Talent Management & Development Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Manage the design and implementation of training and development programs, performance management systems, and individual development plans.
Develop and implement leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of internal talent for senior leadership roles.
HR Operations & Systems Together with the HR Administrator, manage the development and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and tools to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
Manage external payroll provider.
Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation strategies.
Monitor HR compliance with labour laws and regulations, ensuring policies and practices are up to date and legally compliant.
Collaborate with external legal counsel to advise the business on changes in employment law as required from time to time.
What you bring to the role:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : At least 8-10 years of experience in HR, with a focus on senior-level HR leadership, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
Resources experience is desired but not essential.
Skills :A strategic mindset and a proactive, solutions-driven approach to enhance HR processes and team performance.
Proven experience in managing and implementing HR systems and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Experience with change management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
