Senior Director, Schools Planning
Full-time Temporary Details: Are you interested in ensuring we provide schools in the right place, at the right time?
The ACT public education system has been growing at a rapid pace and is projected to continue growing over the next decade. We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Director to lead the development of innovative options to respond to student demand growth and to plan for new and expanded school infrastructure. You will lead a team responsible for a diverse range of projects and will liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the Education Directorate and other areas of government.
The Senior Director will be responsible for providing robust policy advice and will oversee development of the evidence base to support decision making. Knowledge and experience in ACT planning processes and governing legislative environment, as well as in development of public policy will be required.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Leadership and management skills, high level analytical skills, demonstrated ability to collaborate with influence, and experience in policy development.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 18 June 2024 to 27 September 2024, with the possibility of extension up to six months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
