Alongside the MD Marketing Services, APAC, the Sr. Director, Marketing Services will develop, implement and drive the business development and marketing strategy within the Australian market. Initially this strategy will be targeted to build the brand awareness and reputation of HW Marketing Services in the market to attract new clients. This role will involve some travel to Singapore.
This leader will connect and collaborate with local HW teams, partners and potential clients to gain a complete understanding of the Australian market to build the right propositions and capabilities that leverage HW's existing capabilities and align with the global marketing proposition while addressing any nuanced Australian client challenges.
To support the integration and growth of the global marketing portfolio, they will work alongside our global marketing leaders to shape, champion and evolve our global marketing and business development strategies. This leader will also work closely with our Australia communications team located in Sydney, to introduce marketing services to current clients and partnering on brand building activities for Hotwire in the Australia market.
Your other day to day activities will involve:
Business Strategy
Work with the MD, Marketing Services, APAC and Growth team to create and evolve a business development and marketing strategy for generating new business opportunities for HW Marketing Services in Australia, including digital, content, event and awards strategy.
Source, develop and win new business opportunities for HW Marketing Services in Australia.
Track the progress of business development against sales goals for each quarter.
Support the global marketing leads to innovate a distinctive, compelling, deliverable global marketing proposition.
Contribute ideas and insights, develop frameworks and systems that foster a unified approach to prospecting and marketing for sustainable marketing growth.
Be an expert in the Australian market and understand the nuanced client needs that may adapt and evolve the proposition for this region.
Client Relationship Leadership
Build, nurture and grow strong client relationships to develop a portfolio of accounts that meet or exceed revenue goals.
Work with the HW APAC team to develop and evolve targeting criteria, such as personas and ICPs, that can enable excellence.
Work with the HW APAC team to develop and manage SOWs for new projects, adhering to Hotwire guidelines throughout the project.
Oversee AU project delivery and work with the HW APAC team to provide ongoing client progress updates to key stakeholders to communicate all progress, outstanding items, budget, and deadlines.
Build and sustain critical relationships with clients and internal teams to deliver outstanding client work.
Leadership
Behave famously by attending marketing and other networking events to promote and build the HW Marketing Services Brand in Australia.
Support global marketing services new business, participating in RFPs, new business pitches and referring prospects and clients into other markets.
Regularly mentor team members, present case studies in Australia, APAC and or global team meetings
Work with finance team to price client work, accurately forecast pipeline and track work to ensure profitability targets are met.
Hire new marketing services Australia team members as the business meet milestones.
Proficiently facilitate collaboration across multiple teams to cultivate a culture of curiosity, creativity and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role is results-driven, with a hunter-gatherer mindset. They are motivated by fostering and evolving relationships from connection to client advocate. They take pride in truly understanding client needs and delivering excellent business results that nurture longstanding, ever-expanding client relationships for sustainable revenue growth.
They are strategic and logical, with experience and a keen interest in proposition-building to support the global marketing team in ensuring the marketing propositions are always optimised, relevant, and differentiated.
Must be located in Sydney. Must have 5+ years of senior leadership experience in an agency setting, leading a client portfolio with revenue and new business responsibilities.
A strategic thinker who operates with a growth mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo.
Proven track record of managing senior client relationships and driving client satisfaction and retention.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across team and geographies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
