Senior Data and Evaluation Officer, Sexual Violence Case Reform Team Justice and Attorney-General

The Senior Data & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing the evaluation framework and program logic for the Sexual Violence Case Management Pilot and leading the collection, analysis and reporting of pilot-related data to drive evaluation and monitoring activities.

Job duration: Temporary to 30 June 2026 with possible extension
Key responsibilities: Develop and contribute to documentation, policies, procedures, and tools associated with key areas of responsibility including evaluation and project planning. Manage procurement activities to support the engagement of an external consultant to undertake the SVCM Pilot program evaluation. Coordinate evaluation management team meetings and work to ensure agreed milestones are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual obligations. Extract, collate, analyse and review data from cases on the Sexual Violence List to support evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement. Establish baseline data collection and reporting processes to monitor SVCM Pilot program deliverables and outcomes and to feed into the program evaluation. Interpret data to identify trends and use appropriate data visualisation techniques (e.g., Power BI) to share information including via stakeholder forums. Prepare statistical reports, documents, presentations, executive briefs, publications and correspondence. Consult and liaise with key stakeholders to promote the establishment of quality data systems and reporting to inform SVCM Pilot program outcomes. Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of courts processes, systems and relevant legislation and complete tasks and provide advice as required by the Director, SV Case Reform. Ensure data and evaluation activities are trauma-informed and incorporate cultural capability and are responsive to the needs of vulnerable courts users including First Nations peoples.
