Our client seeks a Senior Cost Controller to join their team on a project based in Kwinana. On offer is an initial 12 month contract.
What you'll do
The role responsibilities include: Implement and maintain effective cost control processes for the Sodium Cyanide Expansion project. Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and forecasts. Identify and analyse cost trends, providing insights to project management. Collaborate with project managers, EPCM contractors and other stakeholders to develop project budgets. Regularly update and maintain accurate cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. Assess the impact of scope changes on project costs and communicate findings. Conduct variance analysis between actual and budget/forecast costs and prepare financial reports for project management and key stakeholders. Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Ensure accurate recording and tracking of contract commitments, including accuracy and adherence to contractual terms. Conduct periodic cost audits to ensure adherence to project financial controls and identify cost risks and uncertainties, and develop risk mitigation strategies. What you'll have A strong focus on safety and safe work practices. Extensive experience in project cost control for major capital projects. Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline. You must have full work rights to be considered for this role
