The Opportunity: In this role, you will primarily work closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance and the other Senior Compliance Officer and will engage collaboratively with employees across all divisions of La Trobe Financial. You are required to work exceptionally well with people, and utilise your strong interpersonal communication, problem solving and analytical skills, while maintaining a curious and positive mindset to help deliver on the role objectives. Key Responsibilities: Investigate, analyse, and risk-rate customers in cases of identified exceptions. Support the continuous review and enhancement of the Compliance Management Framework, including the development of requisite training materials and How-To-Guides, as well as facilitating the rollout of changes and awareness refreshers for key compliance processes. Contribute to the development of robust Group risk and compliance obligation management systems. Offer practical and commercially adept compliance advice aligned with relevant legislative/regulatory obligations and the Organisation's risk appetite. Manage breach assessments and related notifications to Regulators. Demonstrate leadership behaviours, encouraging teamwork, and mentoring junior team members. About You: At least 5 years of experience within the financial services or asset management sector preferably with significant experience obtained within a line 2 Compliance function. Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce or Risk Management preferred. Strong working knowledge of the financial services and/or asset management regulatory landscape. Experience gained in drafting compliance policies and procedures. Experience gained in compliance plan monitoring, compliance attestation processes, breach assessment and reporting, regulatory change management and AFS/ACL licensing requirements.
