Senior Communications Officer

Ayan Infotech are looking for a Senior Communications Officer for one of our Govt clients for an initial 3 months contract with a view for an extension in Sydney. All applicants must have full work rights in Australia. Title: Senior Communications Officer Location: Sydney Type: Contract (3 months with a view for extension) Required Skills and Experience: Coordinate and undertake communications programs, projects and activities, research and provide advice in relation to suicide prevention communications for state wide health and to support the achievement of NSW suicide prevention policy and service delivery objectives. Manage and undertake internal and external communications activity for the Ministry of Health, and related government agencies to address current and emerging issues in relation to mental health and suicide prevention services. Provide advice and support to the Principal Policy Officer, Priority Programs, senior executives, and staff across the State Health Ministry to consistently interpret and apply policies and practices in relation to mental health and suicide prevention services. Prepare high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy, discussion papers, or circulars to inform, respond to requests, or initiate consideration of new policy initiatives. Liaise, communicate, and consult with key staff in public health organisations and stakeholder representatives to secure their engagement and ensure effective interface on mental health and suicide prevention communication strategy and activity.
