How you'll make a difference:The Senior Communications Adviser is responsible for delivering a range of high-quality communications strategies and actionable plans in line with the Department's strategic priorities.Reporting into a Head of Strategic Communications, you will work closely with branch colleagues, ministerial offices, department executives and relevant business areas within the department to ensure communications material is clear, engaging, timely, and aligned to the department's strategic narrative and plan.You will have experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating innovative and integrated communications campaigns for target audiences using best practice communication and engagement skills, tools and techniques.As a confident communicator and excellent writer, with strong attention to detail, you will be skilled at preparing engaging written content across a range of media for different audiences and purposes.A key responsibility of this role is to think strategically, effectively manage risk, and engage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment – with a particular focus on negotiating and influencing senior stakeholders for improved communication outcomes.This role may also be required to provide support to other teams across the Branch, including participating in out of hours media and emergency rosters, providing support for public emergencies, large-scale communications campaigns, and other high priority projects, to contribute to the effective management of workload across the branch and department.
