Job Title Senior Claims Consultant, Australia Job Description The Role The primary focus and responsibility of this role is to deliver high quality claims report submissions and manage data validation for a range of claims reports. The other important characteristic of this role is also to support the NEOS claims team with claims management, technical expertise and claims handling. Description Reporting duties 50%: Gather large volumes of data, information and/or complex concepts in a clear and concise manner for key stakeholders Cleaning up and organizing the data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Preparing reports for submission to regulators & superannuation trustees Presenting the reports to managers or decision-makers in a clear and concise manner. Collaborating with different clients to understand their reporting needs and provide them with relevant data. Eventually developing and maintaining reporting templates or dashboards for efficient data visualization with data engineer input Claims & Claims risk support duties 50%: Provide ad hoc claims technical assistance Assessment of Life Insurance Claims across all products for Retail This includes all internal and external stakeholder management. Client service: Drive delivery of high-quality service to clients including: Strong individual performance against client Service Level Agreements Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders Develop both technical and personal skills to a high level Provide support to the Claims Manager on all claims related issues. Assisting CM achieve team and company goals as well as individual performance standards and objectives The applicant will demonstrate: A background in claims operations & claims management Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Independent thinker who can use their past experience to resolve claims data issues Strong computer literacy skills, with prior experience in Microsoft Office Methodological approach to claims management and claims data Wiliness to learn new reporting tools such as Powerbi & tableau and learning basic database skills in either SQL or PowerQuery (Excel Qualifications & Experience Previous Claims reporting experience and claims systems at least 2 years Previous Claims Management experience working in a Life (Re)insurer for at least 4 years Experience handling claims including Life cover, TPD, Critical, Illness and Income Protection Good working knowledge of Life & Disability Insurance industry regulations including LICOP Good working knowledge of life & disability claims practices Working For Pacific Life Re Every person in our global team is valued for the unique qualities they bring to our business and we seek to build their expertise and support their individual ambitions at every step.
