Senior Claims Advisor

About the role:

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Claims Advisor to join our Claims team (Can be based in Sydney/ Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane).

The successful candidate will provide a high level of claims management services to clients and brokers through consulting, advisory, advocacy and negotiation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Constantly liaising with clients, insurers, claimants, brokers, Solicitors and Loss Adjusters

Learning and interpreting policy wordings

Arranging and/or conducting investigations

Negotiating through the determination and/or settlement process on behalf of your clients

Determining claims settlements for under-deductible claims and liaising with the State Manager on complex claims

Preparing various client targeted reports including trend analysis

Preparing for and attending client meetings, including annual or quarterly claims review meetings

General administrative matters including data management and entry, reconciliations invoicing, filing and scanning

Skills and Experience required:

3+ years of Corporate Claims experience (insurance)

Exposure to Liability and Industrial Special Risks claims would be highly regarded

Compliance with Tier 1 (Insurance Broking) requirements

A bachelor's degree in Insurance, Law or a related field ideal but not essential

Strong interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus
