Full Time positionMorning Shift - Wednesday to Sunday (10am - 6pm)Working in the Food Microbiology Laboratory, the Senior Analyst/Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments, and managing sample registration and disposal.
The Senior Analyst/Microbiologist may have a supervisory role over an area within the laboratory, a particular suite of testing or provide general guidance to Analysts and Laboratory Technicians in the laboratory.
The position will support method development, laboratory optimisation and have a major contribution to the objectives of the laboratory.Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Science or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience.At least 3-5 years' experience in NATA accredited commercial laboratory.
Experience in PCR/results reading & confirmation.
NATA signatory will be added advantage.Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques.Technical knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline.Good knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel.Additional Information

This opportunity is only open to candidates who are eligible to work in Australia/New Zealand, and already have work rights or an appropriate working visa.
