Secondary Teachers: permanent and contract positions – Teach in Canberra Competitive public school pay and conditions.Incremental salary progression, starting from $86,253 for new educatorsand $102,969 to $121,077 for experienced educators, rewarding you for your expertise and dedication to teaching.Up to $12K relocation reimbursement is offered for interstate/international teachers.We are seeking secondary classroom teachersfor permanent and contract positions in ACT public schools.

All ACT public schools teach the Australian Curriculum (V9.0) from kindergarten to year 10.

In ACT public schools, you can use your expertise as a teacher in a range of secondary settings, including years 7 to 10 high schools, larger preschool to year 10 schools and in colleges teaching years 11 and 12.

About you:  You have relevant and recognised tertiary qualifications.
Have a passion for teaching and education and support a student-centred approach to learning.
Have the expertise and the ability to teach across a broad age and ability range.Demonstrate knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum and outcomes-based learning.

Eligibility requirements for employment To be eligible to be employed as a teacher in an ACT public school, you must have: 
Education qualifications – An approved four-year full-time tertiary education qualification.
Applicants with qualifications gained outside of Australia should complete a skills assessment by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) to confirm qualification requirements and English language proficiency to teach in Australian schools.

Teacher registration – A valid approval to teach with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
If you do not hold a teacher registration with the ACT TQI, we suggest starting your application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Teachers holding registration in another Australian state or territory or New Zealand are eligible for mutual recognition.Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration – A valid ACT WWVP.
