This role is primarily focused on incoming and outgoing goods to support the success and efficiency of our commercial laboratory.This is a full-time role, Mon-Fri working 10:00am-6:15pm.This is a fast-paced and varied role that will see you unpacking and sorting with accuracy.The day to dayLiaising with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissionsReceive clients' deliveries and confirm samples meet the testing requirements.Read and understand client Chain of Custody (CoC) documentation.Organise and follow up freight pick-ups for internal and interstate samples.Manage and dispose of samples according to procedure.Maintaining filing systems and documentationPerform general housekeeping duties.Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the sample receipt section.The Essentials:A positive, responsive customer focus and quality service attitude with a professional demeanor.Superior attention to detail and a commitment to complete high-quality work.Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite; experience with a LIMS system would be beneficial.Ability to process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately.An understanding of laboratory safety and chemical hazards.Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information.Working at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
