The full-time position will be based in the head office in Bondi Junction in Sydney.
Improving Health & Safety Compliance: Improving Health & Safety compliance by developing, implementing and maintaining Health and Safety Management System for legislative, regulatory, corporate governance requirements and ongoing FSC Accreditation.
Success will see you providing alignment and continual improvements of the Health and Safety management system, Health & Safety assurance framework and performance.
Ensuring conformance with regulatory requirements and streamlining the Health and Safety management system for team usability.
Liaising with external providers for compliance audits and executing Health & Safety improvement programs.
Qualifications: Relevant Diploma or qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline, and/or relevant Health & Safety management systems, governance & assurance experience.
Experience: Experience in Construction or other High Risk related Industry Executing System Improvement, Auditing, Reporting and Risk Management Experience with ISO45001 and/or Integrated Management System and FSC audits Ability to design, develop, and deliver practical Health and safety assurance programs in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements Proficiency in developing and using Health & Safety Information Management Systems and data analysis Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate performance, and drive positive change in HSE culture Advanced skills in relationship-building and communication, the ability to manage your own time, work both autonomously and as part of Health & Safety function In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation Required Competencies: Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills Strong Initiative and proactive nature Key collaborative skills Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Review and execute improvements associated with the adequacy and effectiveness of the Health & Safety management system.
Evaluate Health & Safety documents for compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, and support national programs focused on improving work health and safety outcomes.
Coordinate the review and update of the Policies and Procedures contained within the HSEQ Management System with the document owners.
Monitor the Risk Register and track compliance to the review program.
Conduct internal Health and Safety audits, manage the schedules, produce reports and close out of audit actions.
Participate in external audits and collaborate in the responses required with officers or other Third Party Consultants and manage to ensure close-out of findings.
Development and implementation of the Health & Safety assurance program.
Driving high quality and consistency of the Health & Safety through assurance and verification processes.
Providing analysis reporting of Health and Safety data and performance with recommendations for improvement across all levels of the Business and Projects and transparent reporting to SLT.
Managing the Operational Change Management process associated with the introduction and implementation of new and revised HSMS documentation.
Preparing HSE monitoring and measurement of HSE metrics to inform the SLT about HSE performance through effective and meaningful data.
Coaching and mentoring project teams to ensure high level of understanding of health and safety system.
Supporting project and office teams with assurance and governance activities.
Supporting the National HSEQ Manager in driving improvements and compliance in Health & Safety.
