We are currently looking to recruit a Risk and Safety Co-ordinator to join our Bendigo depot.

Purpose of the role The Risk and Safety Co-ordinator assists the Risk and Safety Officer in monitoring the implementation of Christians Bus Policies, and operational processes to ensure ongoing compliance and supporting the organisation to undertake effective Safety Management practices.

The Risk and Safety Co-ordinator attends daily to identification, prioritisation and organisation of key Work Health Safety tasks such as records management, inspections and incident investigations.

This position is expected to evolve to assume responsibilities of the Risk and Safety Officer.
The timing and duration will be dependent upon the suitability of the candidate and success of the implementation of performance management to guide skills development.

Key responsibilities Data - Ensure accuracy and currency of all records and supporting data.
Procedures - Follow procedures to ensure compliance with all policy and system requirements.
Compliance - Ensure records are managed in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.
Training and Development - Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development.
Achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the company, including the completion of the trainee qualification.
Skills and knowledge Components of the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Previous experience or exposure to safety practices in a workplace.
Licences and qualifications Minimum of Victorian drivers licence.
Working with children Check.
Higher School Certificate or equivalent experience.
BSB30719 Certificate III in Work Health & Safety.
Personal Attributes Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent customer service approach.
Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
Basic written and oral communication skills.
Flexible and willingness to continuously improve.
Comply with Christians Bus Policies.
