We cover Warragul, Traralgon, Inverloch, Bairnsdale and Orbost from our Sale radio studios and newsroom. Our reporters are vital in bringing the characters and stories of these communities to local and national audiences. The ways to tell these stories are ever-evolving; it could be a live cross into TV with overlay you filmed yourself using the latest mobile technology, an online story on Australia's most trusted news website, a carefully crafted radio package on AM, a short piece in a radio news bulletin you're presenting live or a long-form YouTube video.Under the direction of the Editor, the role involves:Finding great stories from Gippsland, and telling them to the ABC's local, state, national and international audiences on its broadcast, social media and online platforms.Presenting news bulletins, Q&A's, interviews and packages.Writing strong feature stories, with compelling visuals, that hook an engaged audience on our website.About YouYou will have experience with breaking news and generating original stories in a daily news environment. You will be a team player who can also work independently.
