The RoleCome and join our vibrant team based in the beautiful Illawarra region. Based in Wollongong, the ABC Illawarra news team creates news content across all platforms that align with ABC strategy and support the achievement of News objectives.
On the weekends or after work go hiking in the national parks; get on the water - paddle board, kayak or surf in our clean rivers, lakes or the ocean; or enjoy a glass of wine at one of the local wineries. Our office by road is 80Km south of Sydney and our welcoming city, which includes gorgeous rainforests and beautiful beaches makes Wollongong a great place to live and work.
The JobUnder the direction of the Editor, ABC Illawarra, and in collaboration with colleagues, you will be responsible for:
Creating content for multiple platforms (radio, television and online) to engage local and national audiences.Producing and presenting news bulletins, Q&A's, interviews and packages across all platforms, including breaking stories.Contributing to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan.About YouYou will have initiative, drive and be a team player. You will have a good news sense and an understanding of regional communities and you will be able to demonstrate:
