Relationships and Communications Officer - Aged Care Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) Other (Education & Training) Full time $89,091 to $96,606 plus 17% superannuation About the opportunity We are seeking to appoint a Relationship and Communications Officer – Aged Care in the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, part of the College of Health and Medicine.
The Wicking Dementia Centre has been at the forefront of online dementia education since 2008, offering large educational programs designed for the aged care workforce.
Boosting the capability of the workforce who care for older people and those living with dementia is vital for the future.
The Relationships and Communications Officer will work directly with the Wicking Dementia Centre's Project Manager to cultivate relationships with industry, government, and not-for-profit organisations that would benefit from the Centre's educational offerings.
This role requires an understanding of the aged care sector, online education, communication styles, stakeholder engagement, and stakeholder management.
What you'll do: Support the identification and development of strategic external relationships and networks with industry, community, and peak bodies in the health, aged, and dementia care sectors to drive engagement in the Centre's short course education programs.
Engage with internal stakeholders to understand and showcase their projects in innovative ways.
Provide industry insights and maintain an understanding of education needs within the aged care sector to inform business development activity.
Generate compelling and accurate content for diverse channels, including newsletters, electronic direct mail (EDM), social media content, and website content.
Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of systems to manage and report on engagement activity.
Coordinate public events and community engagement activities, including the development of promotional materials and coordinating speakers.
Promote the Centre's offerings at conferences and trade shows.

An understanding of the aged care and/or related sector in Australia.
Salary details Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 with a total remuneration package of up to $113,029, comprising a base salary within the range of $89,091 to $96,606 plus 17% superannuation.
