Why Your Role MattersThe Executive Assistant role is an important member of the School's Professional team and reports to the School Manager. The Executive Assistant provides high level administrative support to enable the school's executive function through the provision of quality support services to the Dean. The Executive Assistant is the first point of contact and liaison for both internal and external stakeholders seeking access to the Dean and Deputy Dean.
This position will provide and facilitate communications between both academic and professional staff within the School to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until January 2027 and will be based at Western's Parramatta City Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.
About YouWe are looking for a motivated and driven individual who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. You bring tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of training and management experience in a large and complex organisation. You also have proven experience in executive settings, supporting executive and governance committees, and strong organisational, project, and time management skills to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
You are adept at handling high-volume workloads, exercising sound judgment when unexpected events arise, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Your high-level skills across Office software programs – particularly spreadsheets, word processing, and databases – support your ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Your well-developed written communication skills enable you to write, proofread, and provide editorial advice on executive-level reports and documents with precision. You communicate complex information clearly, facilitate discussions, and build strong working relationships. With high-level analytical and problem-solving skills, you can interpret, formulate and document complex information, take initiative, and make informed decisions to achieve successful outcomes. You exercise sound judgment in managing sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality at all times, and you consistently deliver work to a high standard, both independently and as part of a team.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $110,472 to $118,410 p.a. (comprising Salary of $93,350 to $100,058 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
