As the Radiopharmaceutical Scientist, you will be manufacturing radiopharmaceutical products and their associated manufacturing devices. This is a dynamic role that will also provide the opportunity to take on QA/QC tasks within a controlled laboratory environment. This is a Brisbane-based position with relocation support on offer if required.

You will be a key team member performing manufacturing processes that focus on two key elements – the manufacturing device and the radiopharmaceutical API. As such, each day brings variety as the processes are scaled up to ensure that critical clinical timelines are met. As the company evolves from R&D production to commercial production, there will be a need to apply strict GMP guidelines to meet quality and regulatory requirements such as TGA and FDA. Note that some early morning starts and night shifts will be required for this role.
Key Tasks Of This Role Include: Perform the manufacture and analysis of radiopharmaceutical APIs and devicesConduct in-process and final product quality checksSupport the transition and setup of equipment to the new facility (within Brisbane) including validation and verification activitiesAnalyse results and deliver accurate reports on time. Other Key Requirements Of This Role Include: A tertiary qualification in nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceutical, synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or nuclear/medical physics (or equivalent)Knowledge of what GMP means and why it is essential in radiopharmaceutical manufacturingA Queensland Radiation Use Licence would be highly desiredHave a proactive approach to working in a small team where no task is too small or too big. Note that this role is working with radiation products in a safety controlled and regulated environment, so you must be comfortable working in this environment and maintaining a Queensland Radiation Use Licence (provided by the company).
