Qualified Carpenter / Handyman

We are currently seeking an energetic and experienced Carpenter and/or Handy person to join an already successful team.You will be required to perform maintenance and minor renovation work on ACT Government properties.The works required are largely diverse and would take well to someone who enjoys all aspects of carpentry/maintenance work rather than repetitive large projects.Duties and responsibilities: Perform day-to-day general maintenance dutiesRestore and/or replace pergolas, eaves, decks, doors etc.End of lease property maintenanceRespond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency callsDemonstrate good customer service when engaging with tenantsPrevious maintenance/residential carpentry experienceThe successful candidate will have: Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skillsPositive attitudeAbility to work without close supervision and within established timeframesAttention to safe work practicesStrong work ethicRequirements: Driver's licenseWhite cardWWVP / or able to attainAsbestos Awareness trainingMust be able to work alone and as part of a teamSerious reliable applicants to applyGood English and communication skillsCompany vehicle providedLong termFlexible hoursBenefits:Permanent full-time positionOvertime availableFlexible hours40 hours per week
