As Purchasing Officer you'll be overseeing purchasing activities, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance.
In close collaboration with our Sourcing team, you'll support roadmap delivery and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at our Perth Fulfilment Centre located in Jandakot, WA 6164.
Your role: Execute and manage purchase orders while addressing and resolving any supplier issues. Oversee production activities and maintain effective communication with suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Handle invoicing processes and collaborate with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies or challenges. Work closely with the team on import planning and ensure quality assurance standards are met. Actively participate in weekly planning meetings and manage product substitutions as needed. Analyse order quantities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing systems. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a supply chain or manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills for maintaining supplier relationships and collaborating across teams. Ability to resolve supplier issues and proactively engage in problem-solving, especially when it comes to invoicing or order discrepancies. Experience in analysing order quantities, tracking purchasing trends, and contributing to system improvements. Familiarity with ERP or procurement software preferred.
