Due to internal promotion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our team, based out of our Tingalpa office. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, here is your opportunity to manage all direct and indirect materials' purchasing for our Tingalpa production site. This role is best suited to somebody who has prior exposure within a Purchasing, Procurement or Inventory/Warehousing environment, who has a great mixture of strong communication skills and strong analytical/attention to detail skills. Exposure to SAP and MRP systems is advantageous, but we are open to teaching somebody this if they have the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow. Key Accountabilities: Order and monitor required direct production materials through SAP. This will include managing bulk orders, advanced orders seasonal orders and supplier shutdown periods, as well as managing the queries associated with delivery schedules, reconciliation of load variances, payments, and invoicing Build strong working relationships Locally and Nationally to manage new item introductions and promotional materials ordering, to maximise stock level efficiencies. This will at times require you to manage the interplant transfer of materials Attend weekly meetings with suppliers to ensure best practice/remediation of global supply chain disruptions, supply issues and material availability Develop and maintain detailed reports and workflows for master data accuracy of MRP-impacted raw materials Utilise Ariba to place purchase orders for non-raw material products Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Previous experience within a Purchasing or Procurement-type role. This will ideally include an understanding of Warehouse Management and stock-level optimisation Computer literate in MS Office Suite.
