We propose a mandatory notification and referral program for Aboriginal families in the NT in contact with the Child Protection Services to culturally appropriate Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), including specialist advocacy and legal 're looking for someone who is passionate about change in this area and has experience with child protection services in the NT.Funding for this program ends October Duties and Responsibilities:1. Work collaboratively with colleagues, external organisations and government agencies to create and implement the Child in Need of Protection (CINOP) Notification Scheme.2. Foster positive working relationships and partnerships within relevant communities and stakeholders to ensure broad community support of the developed education programs and approaches.3. Develop a budget for the project based on requirements and track costs to deliver the project within the budget.4. Build a positive culture within the service which is aligned with NAAFLS' values and Strategic Plan5. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies as outlined in NAAFLS' Policies and Procedures.6. Promote and maintain safe work practices in accordance with NAAFLS WH&S Policies and Procedures.7. Undertake other duties as reasonably directed.Selection Criteria: 1. Experience and knowledge of the NT Child Protection system, the issues of Aboriginal children in care and the effect on the families and wider community.2. Experience in program or project management, diary and calendar management, logistics and stakeholder engagement.3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.4. A flexible approach, with strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to effectively manage time and workload, prioritise tasks, and meet changing circumstances, competing demands, interruptions and deadlines.5. High level attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work with an electronic records management system and enter accurate and timely data and use a range of computer programs.6. Self-motivated and demonstrated ability of working independently with minimal supervision, and as an effective team member, promoting cooperation and commitment to achieve goals.7. Ability to obtain a Working With Children Clearance (WWCC) and undergo a Criminal History Check.8.
