A consortium between Gamuda Australia and Laing O'Rourke has been awarded a contract to start tunnelling on the Sydney Metro West project.
The Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to assist our Plant department with the planning, procurement and delivery of plant maintenance works across mined tunnel and TBM activities.
About the roleUndertake cost tracking of plant section, maintenance, and operation to ensure work remains within the budget.Oversee the technical specification of equipment and installation drawings.Monitor and ensure project planning and related deliverables are completed within schedule and budget.Assist project sites by providing technical advice and scheduling/monitoring plant repairs as required, ensuring they are completed in accordance with the relevant standards.Manage Plant maintenance schedules and ensure compliance.Manage compliance of documentation uploaded on MEX.Promote a positive culture regarding HSE, Environmental Management, Sustainability, People, Community and Quality.Your skills and experienceRelevant Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects.Experience managing direct workforce and subcontractors in the delivery of work plans and scope.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team.The Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium combines global and local innovation, with leading expertise in delivering complex tunnelling and engineering projects.
