The Tasmanian Planning Commission is looking for suitably experienced people to undertake project management and development, research and analysis relating to business improvement across all areas of the Commission, including assessments, business systems and processes, communication tools, information technology advancements and website improvements.
The position will also work as required on delivering high quality environmental data reporting to support the preparation of any future State of the Environment Report.
You will work in a small professional team and work closely with the Commission and its delegates as required.

DutiesPlan and implement projects using appropriate project management tools and approaches to ensure milestones are achieved and outcomes delivered within time and resource constraints.Research and analysis of relevant information, to provide succinct insights and recommendations based on evidence, reasoning, and consultation with stakeholders, as required.Prepare written advice for decision-makers, including briefs, discussion papers, reports, correspondence, recommendations, and presentations.Provide constructive editorial services and coordinate report production at a high standard.Liaise with key stakeholders both internally and externally to government.Coordinate administrative services, including the development of business processes to support State of the Environment reporting.Support the delivery of the State of the Environment Report, including the implementation of appropriate quality assurance actions and review of project planning outputs and outcomes.Maintain records and provide advice in relation to financial, human and physical resources of the project as required, in accordance with Government and Department policies, guidelines and directions.Perform other project management, coordination and training duties as appropriate for the position classification and award and in accordance with the skills, training and competencies of the occupant.A degree or equivalent qualification relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by a university.Experience working with agile methodologies.How to ApplyTo apply, please provide a Short Form Application which is a 1-2 page covering letter outlining your experience, skills and knowledge as they relate to the Statement of Duties, and a copy of your current Resumé/CV.
