We are currently recruiting for a Senior Legal Assistant in Perth for my client who is a global law firm in over 40 countries.
Duties: Provide high level support to partners and fee earners Assist across the different practice groups as needed on specific tasks to develop specialist expertise. Areas include: corporate, real estate, litigation, finance & projects as well as business development Engage with stakeholders in building relationships with relevant partners and fee earners in all practice groups Add value by taking a proactive approach to tasks and anticipating potential problems before they arise Assist fee earners with the organisation of meetings including preparation of agendas and collating meeting papers in a timely manner Utilise document production for the creation of all first draft documents Complete financial reports where required, from internal systems highlighting outstanding monies to be billed and updating particular client financial schedules where necessary Assist on ad-hoc projects as and when required, for example managing bundles, supporting team events etc. Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in organisation Create new client matter files, closing and archiving Perform any other secretarial or administrative duties as required including filing and photocopying Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience as a legal assistant or secretary Previous experience of billing Experience with document management systems Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent diary management Strong organisation and prioritisation skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to apply knowledge and judgement to solve problems and make decisions Experience of delegating to, and training, less experienced team members Flexible approach to working practices to meet business needs Friendly, personable and approachable Adaptable and flexible Conscientious and diligent Remain calm under pressure Eager to learn and develop skills In return, they offer an excellent salary + benefits package which includes WHF flexibility and bonus home office allowance, state of the art offices with in-house catering, health and wellbeing initiatives to name a few.
