We're looking for a skilled Program Management Officer to join a dynamic public sector environment, driving efficient project delivery through Agile methodologies.
Working closely with the Assistant Program Manager and Program Manager in the Transformation Office, you'll be integral in planning and executing large-scale programs, from initial scoping to IT delivery and everything in between.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate within a hybrid team of APS staff and contractors, fostering an agile, supportive work environment.
Monitor program progress, adjust schedules, and ensure alignment with program scope and objectives.
Analyse critical paths, mitigate potential risks, and prepare alternate plans in response to any program delays.
Liaise with project staff and provide senior management with briefings on any significant impact to program goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support seamless program delivery.
Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior officials, ensuring compliance with standards and accuracy.
Regularly update management on program status, highlighting any deviations and actions recommended.
Key Experience Required: Previous experience as a Project Manager Previous experience managing a range of business based projects Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams Can demonstrate experience working in Agile projects Experience in c Strong ability to manage plans, timelines, budgets, and resources in alignment with strategic objective Skilled in managing project risks, issues, and dependencies with a strategic approach.
Excellent stakeholder management skills Ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
Superior communication skills to present complex information clearly .
