We are looking for a skilled and organized Production Manager / Smallgoodsman to join our team and drive our production operations to the next level.
Role Overview This role involves overseeing daily production operations, staff management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with a small, dedicated team and report to the board, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities Production OperationsPlan and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand and company deadlines.Manage production workflows, ensuring efficiency and high-quality outputs.Monitor and reduce waste while implementing efficient practices and processes.Manage the wholesale orders ready for production and have relationships with key customers.Staff ManagementManage staff rosters and ensure optimal staffing levels.Provide leadership and direction to the production team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.Compliance and StandardsMaintain and improve SQF standards across production operations.Ensure all products meet strict quality and safety guidelines.Product DevelopmentWork with the team to develop new product lines that align with market trends and customer needs.Collaborate with distributors and sales staff to refine and expand product offerings.Adaptability in a Growing EnvironmentHandle shifting priorities and respond to changes in production requirements with flexibility and efficiency.Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage day-to-day operations effectively.Key Requirements ExperienceProven experience in smallgoods production or a similar role within the food industry.Experience managing a team and production schedules.Experience with software systems such as fresho and Xero is a benefit.SkillsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of SQF standards and other food safety regulations.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to report effectively to the board.A keen eye for process improvement and waste reduction strategies.Personal AttributesAdaptability to a fast-paced and growing business environment.Self-motivated and capable of working independently.Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with team members.What We Offer The opportunity to work in a rapidly growing company with exciting career development prospects.A supportive, family-oriented work environment.The chance to make a significant impact on the business, shaping its future direction.How to Apply If you're an experienced smallgoods professional or production manager who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment, we'd love to hear from you.
