Vetlab Sterile (part of the Autopak-Vetlab Group) is an Australian-owned, independent contract manufacturer of Sterile animal health products based in western Sydney. We manufacture veterinary pharmaceuticals for some of the biggest brands in the Australian and overseas markets. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main purpose of this role is to build and lead a strong operations team and identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency in the manufacturing operation. Tasks & responsibilities
Work with the Operations Manager to manage all production procedures and processes in compliance with all GMP policies and Work, Health & Safety regulations.Provide a high level of customer service by ensuring the efficient flow of processes and materials and the appropriate allocation of resources.Identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes to procedures, processes and documentation to realise the opportunity.Implement production plans per daily and weekly schedule in conjunction with Operations Manager and staff, supply chain and quality assurance teams.Assist in assessment of all aspects of the operational feasibility of new product introductions and the installation of new plant and equipment.Liaise with the quality team, production supervisors and production employees when issues relating to the quality system are found.Qualifications & experience
Qualifications in Chemistry or Engineering.Experience in operations/production management, preferably in the animal health or pharmaceutical industries.Excellent written and verbal communicationSound knowledge of GMP and WHS regulations.
