Job Description ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLEAs our Production Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the mill's production, from managing day and night shifts to ensuring efficient production schedules. Your responsibilities include:Implementing improvements to enhance production processes and introduce new products.Maintaining mill equipment to minimise downtime and assist with long-range planning.Nurturing and developing our talented team to promote upskilling and cross-training.Ensuring safety is a top priority, adhering to WH&S regulations, and reporting on safety performance.Maintaining positive industrial relations and promoting safety practices.Meeting environmental responsibilities in all operations.ABOUT YOUTo excel in this role, you'll need:Strong technical knowledge and experience, ideally, in sawmilling operations.Strong understanding of WH&S and environmental regulations.Exceptional leadership skills to inspire and guide your team.Effective communication abilities in verbal, nonverbal, and written forms.Excellent planning and organisation skills to meet schedules and objectives.Top-notch decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEYou should ideally possess:Preferred tertiary qualifications or equivalent formal studies in sawmilling operations.Proven track record of successful experience in sawmilling operations.Working knowledge and understanding of production.
